Overview
numeric [noo-mer-ik] (adj): of or pertaining to numbers.
That definition pretty much sums it up. Numeric [
iTunes link] is a collection of mini games based on math,
numbers, and related principles. I've had a lot of ideas about
number-based games, but nothing really big enough to stand on its
own. So, I figured I would compile them under one application and
release updates as they are completed. Sound like a plan? I hope
so, because that's what you've signed up for. <evil grin>
Numeric contains two games so far:Clear the GridandKeep 'em
Coming.
Clear the Grid
The object of Clear the Grid is to, well, clear the grid of
tiles by using all of them to form valid mathematical
equations.
An equation is formed by selecting tiles from the grid. Tapping
on a tile will select it and add it to the first available slot in
the equation near the bottom of the screen. After selecting three
number tiles and an operator tile, the equation will be evaluated.
If it is correct, all of the tiles you selected will disappear, and
you may continue play. If the equation is not valid, you will need
to correct it by changing some or all of the tiles. To deselect a
tile, either tap the tile in the main grid area or in the equation
area.
You can use the options in the Settings/Info area to customize
the operators that may appear in the grid. Note that by enabling
the operators, they are not guaranteed to be in the grid --
enabling them only allows the chance that they will be used in the
randomly generated tiles.

Keep 'em Coming
Keep 'em Coming is a race against the clock to form as many
valid mathematical equations as you can before the time limit runs
out.
An equation is formed by selecting tiles from the grid. Tapping
on a tile will select it and add it to the first available slot in
the equation near the bottom of the screen. After selecting three
number tiles, the equation will be evaluated using the operator
chosen in the options. If it is correct, all of the tiles you
selected will be replaced by new ones. If the equation is not
valid, you will need to correct it by changing some or all of the
tiles. To deselect a tile, either tap the tile in the main grid
area or in the equation area.
You can adjust the time limit for each game using the slider in
the Settings/Info area. Time limits can be any fifteen second
increment between thirty seconds and five minutes.
